Interesting Post Offices

No interviews this week because I’m actually not here right now (still in France, even though I’m posting – yay for scheduled posts). However, I think this will be pretty cool. I recently got a question asking for unique post offices around the US and elsewhere. And by recently I mean weeks ago, but it got me thinking anyway that I should really check this out. And lo and behold, I found some of the most incredible post offices ever! Check it out.

  • Ochopee, Florida – Smallest post office in the WORLD! This post office is so completely adorable. I can’t even believe people work there!
  • Valentine, Texas – I had the awesome privilege of driving through this awesome teensy town. You can send your letters through this town to have it postmarked with the Valentine postmark! Awesome idea.
  • North Pole, Alaska – This was pretty popular this year as there was talk of shutting down the Post Office and all sorts of other terrorist talk. But you can still send your letters to be postmarked in the North Pole!
  • Hinsdale, New Hampshire – Created in 1816, this is the oldest continuously-run post office in the United States. Abraham Lincoln was 7 when it was built!
  • Bahamas – The world’s first underwater post office! I can’t even believe this. You can’t use it today, but you can still deliver underwater postcards at Vanuatu in the Pacific!

Do you guys know of any other amazing post offices? Please share in the comments!
